I picked this one up because I saw it all over Bookstsgram。 And boy am I glad I did。 This was the perfect read for me！ It was reminiscent of Jewel E Ann’s Undeniably You，which to this day is still one of my favourite reads。 Best I Ever Had， had all my favourite elements， angst， a broken yet sincere hero， a heroine who could stand on her own two feet， but fell hard during the guy she meets。 There’s the added bonus of wicked parents， a bitchy OW and a fab dose of baby drama。 Cooper Haywood is rich I picked this one up because I saw it all over Bookstsgram。 And boy am I glad I did。 This was the perfect read for me！ It was reminiscent of Jewel E Ann’s Undeniably You，which to this day is still one of my favourite reads。 Best I Ever Had， had all my favourite elements， angst， a broken yet sincere hero， a heroine who could stand on her own two feet， but fell hard during the guy she meets。 There’s the added bonus of wicked parents， a bitchy OW and a fab dose of baby drama。 Cooper Haywood is rich。 But his life’s not simple。 So when he meets the beautifully unique Story Salenger， he has to have her。 And luckily for him， the storm that blows in creates a perfect meet cute for them。The relationship between Cooper & Story was quick， but felt S。L。Scott managed to keep it as real as those first love feelings we all get。 And even though you fall quick and hard for these two， you can feel the tension brewing from the first chapter。 The inevitable downfall of this beautiful couple， comes full pelt and the guts just keep on coming。 It’s a heartbreaker for sure， but there’s no bad guy except for the people outside of Cooper & Story’s relationship。For me though， the true heartbreak came in the final part of the book。 There was forgiveness and closure， both of which had me crying for how beautifully written it was。I must admit in the beginning I found the book felt like it had a lot of unnecessary filler parts in it。 But as the book progressed I realised it’s just he authors style and found myself enjoying the detailed writing。This is definitely one of my faves of 2022 so far！！ 。。。more

Cooper escapes to a coffee shop one night when there is a storm。 He has a paper he needs to finish but he has no power at his place。 So， he heads to the coffee shop where he meets Story。 He is instantly drawn to her and when the shop loses power Story offers for Cooper to come back to her place to finish his paper that is due the next morning。 These two have an instant connection and end up spending the night together （no not that way 。 。 。 yet） which leads into the next day and the next day and Cooper escapes to a coffee shop one night when there is a storm。 He has a paper he needs to finish but he has no power at his place。 So， he heads to the coffee shop where he meets Story。 He is instantly drawn to her and when the shop loses power Story offers for Cooper to come back to her place to finish his paper that is due the next morning。 These two have an instant connection and end up spending the night together （no not that way 。 。 。 yet） which leads into the next day and the next day and the next。 They both have such an immediate connection with each other 。 。 。 until Cooper’s family gets involved and ruin everything。I loved this story。 I loved Cooper and Story’s connection。 I loved watching them fall – it is a bit of an insta but I didn’t have an issue with it and I think it was necessary for how their story plays out。 They were fun， witty， cute， sweet and uuum in your pants hot。 Just ask Cooper。 I was captivated and enthralled with Cooper and Story。 I was dying to know how their journey played out 。 。 。 I just felt that it took too long。 Maybe it was me and my mood that day because I can’t honestly think of one thing to cut but it just felt like it dragged。 But don’t get me wrong， I loved this story。 I love Cooper and Story and they journey that they faced and 100% would recommend this story。 。。。more

Best I Ever Had is the first book by S。L。 Scott that I have read and it definitely won’t be the last。 This book was sweet， intense and absolutely gut wrenching。 I was rooting for Story and Cooper from the very beginning because they were perfect for each other。 I really loved the connection they had with each other。There were twists and secrets that I never saw coming whatsoever which made the story even more interesting。 I can’t wait to see what this author does next。

What a ride this story was。 To be completely transparent， the beginning dragged for me just a tiny bit。 I LOVED Story and Cooper’s chemistry。 I loved how easy it all flowed。 The second half is when things really picked up and I was hit with plot twist after plot twist。 I was so frustrated at them both multiple times but I think that’s what kept me on the edge of my seat。 Very swoon-worthy。 Very angsty in the best ways。 Solid 4✨ read for me！！

This is hands down my favorite by this author！ I loved Cooper & Story。 This book pulled me in from the beginning。 I never once saw what was coming。 Each plot twist caught me off guard。 Story was just a good person， and even though Cooper was also he just didn’t see it。 I loved how strong Story was。 I loved that Cooper just wanted to take care of her。 ❤️❤️❤️

This was a slow burn full of angst kind of story。 Cooper and Story’s journey is spanned out throughout the years。 Beautifully written with a seamless plot。 Although slow burn is not my kind of storyline it was a great read。
